Monday - Capital letters
Use the power point to check your knowledge of capital letters. Do you know what the capital letter is for every letter in the alphabet? If you're not sure, use the letter formation mat to practise.
Have a go at the activities:
Activity 1: Recognising and matching capital and lower case letters.
Activity 2: Check the work - which ones are correct?
For each task, use the star challenge appropriate for you.

Follow up task:
Can you use the descriptive sentences from yesterday's lesson to write a free verse poem? Look back at the free verse poems on the power point below; notice how, although they don't rhyme, they all have a repeated phrase that is written every few lines.
Create your own repeated phrase for your free verse poem. Cut up your descriptive sentences from yesterday and stick them onto a new sheet adding your repeated phrase every 2 lines to create your poem.
Use the template below or write on your own plain or scrap paper.
Send us a photo of your free verse poems. We can't wait to read them!
