Local Habitats
WALT: classify things into those that are living, dead/non-living or never alive – local habitats.
- Use power point below Local Habitats: discuss the information on each slide with your grown up.
- Activity 1 – Think about the local British habitats we have in Faringdon. Folly Tower (woodland), town centre (urban), pond life etc. Choose one that you can go and visit. Using the worksheet (local habitat table – you can draw your own one), record what you see that is living, dead or never alive.
- Activity 2 – Draw a map of your chosen local habitat. Include plants, trees and any animals. Label all the living and non-living things you saw. What type of British habitat is it?
