Habitats, Microhabitats and Minibeasts

WALT: identify animals in their habitats – microhabitats and minibeasts

This week we are looking at microhabitats and minibeasts. You may remember looking at this at school before. Work through the Power Point below. There are two main activities and a challenge to complete.

  • Activity 1 – To choose, draw and describe 2 microhabitats to investigate.
  • Activity 2 – To collect information about the minibeasts living in your 2 chosen microhabitats using a survey.
  • Challenge – To represent data in a pictogram.

There are worksheets for these, however remember, you can create your own.

  • Go on Purple Mash and Invent your own minibeast!
